Development, Access to and Use of Emerging Technologies
Description: This group will focus on developing national research and development goals pertaining to the application of technology to improve the
independence and quality of life of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The group will 1) evaluate the current knowledge base in
technology and ID/DD; 2) identify relevant emerging technologies in this area; 3) propose research and development priorities for the nation; and 4)
consider strategies to improve the dissemination and implementation of technology to reduce the ìdigital divideî between persons with ID/DD and the general
population.
