Effective Schooling in the Least Restrictive Setting
Description: This group will address both the progress that has been made as well as the
unrealized goals of providing each child with an intellectual and/or
developmental disability with an effective public education in the least
restrictive environment. The group will address what should be considered
an "Appropriate" education as well as the barriers to achieving this public
policy goal for every child, including organizational factors and human
resources. Specific attention will be given to developing indicators with
which to measure national progress toward the goal.
